It's been a while since my last blog because of craziness at the Hodge household. You know, those little necessities in life like grocery shopping, softball games, ballet, family dinners, dinners with friends, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera... Oh yeah, and writing. I'm about fifty pages in to book numero nine and things are going well. Of course, they always do at this point in the book. It's page 150 where things start to become problematic. I also finished a short story this week and got tons of research done.
It's been a strange week since I last blogged. Bizarre things have happened--One of which I'll have to blog about at a later date (maybe after the Christmas holidays) and another of which will never be told to a single soul (excluding my buddy Jaye cuz it's impossible for me to keep everything to myself). So I've consoled myself through all this bizarreness by writing like a fiend and losing every fake facebook dollar I have playing solitaire. Not just regular solitaire, but Vegas-style solitaire. It's a thing of pure evil.
Next week is an exciting week for books. The new J.D. Robb comes out for those of you who have been following the Eve Dallas series, as well as the next Laurell K. Hamilton book in the Merry Gentry series. There's also a new Sherilyn Kenyon Dark-Hunter book coming out Tuesday. I should have all three read by Thursday at the latest, so I'll make sure to blog about how they turned out.
We've got a jam-packed weekend, starting with trick-or-treating tomorrow night. The Hodge children are all going to be characters from The Wizard of Oz. I hope everyone has a safe holiday weekend.
Enjoy your extra hour of sleep Sunday morning!!!
