Get Out And Vote!!!!

If you didn't early vote, then today's the day. Suck it up, take a book and your ipod, and go stand in line. Whether you're in line five minute or five hours, it's worth it to cast your vote. And that's the last I'll say on the matter.

Today is Tuesday, and the election is not the only thing happening today. It's also book release day, and I'll be making my way to Barnes and Noble this afternoon to pick up some much anticipated reads. Multiple book releases on the same day plays havoc with my writing because I want to read instead of work on my own book. And I'm pretty sure that's exactly what's going to happen.

Novemeber is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and I'm already terribly behind. The goal is to write 50,000 words in the month of November. It's still very doable because I'm a splurge writer, which means I'll write 80-100 pages in a few days and then not touch it again for a week. It's not the best habit for a writer, but it's how I work best. If I'm on a roll, my husband and kids know to stay out of my way and fend for themselves until I surface for air. Sometimes it's two or three days. They're good people.

On a completely different note. I'm rearranging my office. Again. This is the third time my office has changed, and we've only lived in our house since July of 2007. I'm hoping this time things will stick and my muse will flow more freely now that I have curtains and shelves. Don't roll your eyes. I like for everything to have the appearance of order before I get to work, even though it's complete chaos on the inside of the drawers.

Since I didn't leave a Halloween post, I figured this would work as an apology.
